Map & DirectionsPreservation Wayne is located on the second floor of the historic David Mackenzie House at 4735 Cass Avenue in the heart of Detroit’s Midtown neighborhood.
The David Mackenzie House is on the west side of Cass, between Forest and Hancock, two blocks south of the Wayne State University campus and one block west of Woodward Avenue. We are directly south of the historic Hilberry Theater.
In lieu of subway or light rail service, local DDOT and regional SMART bus stops are conveniently located on Cass, Warren and Woodward avenues. Freeway access to M10 (Lodge), I-75 (Fisher), I-94 (Ford), and I-96 (Jeffries) is also nearby. Free parking is available on the street; secure parking is available in the lot across Cass Avenue.
